My family has now lived in the same town for 30+ years. We are still about 3 generations short of being considered "locals". So, 200-300 years in France...? :-) Just a thought, (and not a serious one) Jerry Johnson >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 04/25/02 12:38AM >>> That's the stupidest idea I've ever heard (not you but the article). Jews have been in France for a long time and the ones there are still there because of their loyalty to France. There has not been any immigration of Jews to France for the last 200-300 years. All the immigration has been out. > I read a column today, and I wish I could find it now, that said the > violence against Jews in France isn't so much anti-Semitic as it is > anti-immigrant. > > H. > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Judith Dinowitz [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > > Sent: Wednesday, April 24, 2002 10:30 AM > > To: CF-Community > > Subject: Re: What is at stake in Israel > > > > > > Thank you, Howard.
