I'm sure they will have plenty of other opportunities, starting with this

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Tuesday's special election to fill the vacant House of
Representatives seat of Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in upstate New York
has resulted in a dead heat.

With all precincts in the 20th Congressional District reporting, Democrat Scott
Murphy led his Republican rival, state Assemblyman Jim Tedisco, by 65 votes.
Murphy had 77,344 votes, and Tedisco had 77,279.

It could take up to two weeks for a winner to be announced.

"No one has claimed victory," said John Conklin, director of information for
the New York State Board of Elections.

Remaining are 10,000 absentee ballots to be counted; 6,000 have been sent back
to the board.

Conklin said the local absentee ballots have until next Tuesday to be sent in,
and military or overseas ballots have until April 13 to be returned.

Republicans filed a lawsuit to have all the absentee ballots impounded, Conklin
said late Tuesday.

Murphy, 39, a millionaire venture capitalist and Missouri native, has lived in
New York for 10 years. His campaign Web site touts his experience of "saving,
and creating jobs, growing small business and finding new ways to tackle old
problems."

Tedisco, 58, is the GOP minority leader in the New York State Assembly. He was
voted into the Assembly 27 years ago and represents Schenectady and Saratoga
counties.

Gillibrand gave up her House seat to fill the Senate vacancy created when
Hillary Clinton stepped down to become secretary of state.
