Larry, I suggest before you call someone ignorant you check your facts and get a minimal education yourself, oh that's right you already have a PhD. Obviously they don't teach you history. As for education I know more about WWII than you ever will and As far as my comments goes about the French I was referring to the Munich Conference in 1938 in which the French, along with the British basically gave in to the Germans and allowing them to keep parts of Czechoslovakia they had annexed in order to avoid war.
