If (and for me it's a big if) they used this list IN PLACE of a making their
own list, or they used inclusion on this list as a requirement for a job, I
would also be up in arms. (Figuratively)

If the job were "Muslim outreach czar", who's job was to talk to the world's
imams and get them to tone it the fuck down, being a Muslim might be one
qualifier.

If the job was "education secretary", it would have no bearing on the job.

If the job was "pork rind taster", then it might (might) be a disqualifier.

Like I said before, if the situation in the end is "zero Muslim Americans in
any appointed position" (as we have now), then I would stamp FAIL on the
hiring process, or at least look very carefully at what prevented any from
being hired to any job (as population stats show that they should be
represented, all things being equal).

But if we had "3 token Muslims in appointment jobs", then that would suck.
