do you have keyboard shortcuts on?
if so, that will be your friend, it lets you know
which message you are POTENTIALLY doing
something with so that they next set of key strokes
with shortcuts on, knows what to work on, or perform
operation on.

turn keyboard shortcuts the hell off if you dont want
to see it anymore :)
