How is he not? This is exactly what I'm trying to my kids NOT to do: to equate the utterly deserved, unqualified respect for our fighting men and woman with a similar unqualified respect for war or the reasons that get us there. Those need to be viewed critically, understood and challenged when appropriate. In short that attacking the war (or the administration that got us there) is not, in any way, shape or form, attacking the troops. That's a myth that has to be put down for once and for all. I'm still not honestly sure what Michael was trying to say, but I took nothing he said as meaning any disrespect to the troops.
