I personally don't feel there is anything going on in the world that
was a more serious threat to the long-term health of the United States
than those pirates.

The idea that FOR YEARS they could at will hijack and kill and hold
hostage people and ships and cargo is unacceptable.

The growth in that "industry", and the total lack of consequences,
would have encouraged the same type of action, and for any small armed
group around the world from starting to take hostages in larger and
larger numbers. Trucks in Mexico, ships around the world. Planes at
small airports.

It _has_ to be stopped.
