The allure of twitter and facebook and similar things escapes me....probably
because I don't really care what other people are doing, and don't expect
them to care what I'm doing.

Question: Is our sudden fascination with what other people are doing a
result of technology, or is the technology an outcropping of a fascination
that has always been there?
