Dude, what the HELL are you talking about? What "upward mobility"? If by "upward mobility" you mean that the top 1% of earners are getting richer at the expense of the bottom 99%, then you're correct. There's a measure called the Gini coefficient that measures this concentration of wealth and it's doubled between the 70s and now. In fact I believe it's at an all time high. Between 1929 (the last crash ... coincidence??) and the mid 1970s income disparity was FALLING. But SINCE the mid 1970s the richest 1% went from earning under 10% of income to over 20% today. Not surprising, median income FELL over Bush's term. Where'd their money go? To the rich of course. The data is clear dude, the last 30 years of policy have been a complete failure and the largest transfer of wealth in history all engineered by government and never more so than during the Bush administration. So the great "hallmark" you speak of must be the great robbery of the middle class. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:295394 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
