My criteria is time and interest. I literally have over 100 posts in draft
that I was going to send to the list at one time or another that were
interesting or relevant to what was being discussed but I never got back to.
Another criteria is if something potentially impacts me in a way that I like
or don't like. Also, one sided events drive me crazy, which is why the media
and the UN shows up a lot in my posts.

Some examples:
I've posted on conflicts around the world where the death toll is in the 6+
digits but are ignored by the media or whoever.
When we were talking about Somalia I was going to post an article about how
the UN dealt with a hostage situation in Somalia. They cut off the water to
Mogadishu. The hostages were returned in 4 days. That means 4 days without
water in the capital of a country.
When the UN is being dicks in new and interesting ways, I usually post about
it. I posted about how free speech is being curtailed but only posted once
about Durban and that was in reference to the State Department being dicks
again.
When the media is being biased and one sided on an issue I may post about
it. The same when people are being totally one sided, which is why I post on
Bush topics where he's accused of being the devil rather than just one in a
long line of demons.
I was going to post today about a woman who hired a stripper to take her
place at her school reunion.
When I see what I consider a foolish statement like "moderate Taliban", it
comes up on my radar (though I don't think I started that thread).
Stupidity gets my interest such as when people were upset about an afro on
an Obama chia pet and called it racist.
I can go on and on but my criteria are the same as everyone elses. And yes,
I post about terrorism, religious coercion, and the like and yes, many of
those posts have some relation to Muslims and/or Islam.

My point is that you're singling out a segment of my posts which have
something negative to say about something in some way connected to Islam and
using it as the basis for a profile. Taliban is Taliban. They just happen to
be Muslims. Pakistan is Pakistan. They just happen to be Muslims. The UN
human rights council are pricks. Many of their members happen to be Muslim.
But then again, most (dare I say but not all) of their members are countries
with atrocious human rights records.

I'm glad I never posted about the super hot Palestinian chick who was
hitting on me in collage. My not responding to her charms might also be
considered anti-Muslim (it was actually because I was a clueless schmuck).
