It's almost like people weren't listening to those of us who were
saying that Obama isn't a big scary liberal socialist. I like him in a
lot of ways. He's much more of a hawk and government law and
order/security type than I'm entirely comfortable with. The only thing
I can say for certain is that when it comes down to foreign policy,
economics, health care (maybe) and judicial appointments, he's a hell
of a lot better than we would of gotten with McCain. Not my favorite
but the best we've seen in a long while. I'll still spend plenty of
the next 7.5 years cringing and gnashing my teeth at some of the crap
he pulls I'm sure. But I didn't vote for him to agree with me 100% of
the time, I voted for him because he was the best person for the job.
