Facebook for me is a mix of professional contacts, personal contacts,
and people from my past (high school/college). I generally keep
clients off it, unless they are also a personal friend. I also
sometimes ignore folks from my past who I don't particularly remember,
or folks who are friend of a friend kinda people who I really don't
know that well.

Twitter is more like a blog in that anyone can follow. I only follow
people who I might care about hearing alot of updates from. Someone I
friend on Facebook who I went to high school with probably isn't going
to be sending Twitter updates about subjects I care about. Same with
friend of friend loose connections. If I want updates from those
people I can view their Facebook page.

Alot of people also pipe the Twitter updates into Facebook, which
makes alot of updates redundant.
