I agree. I'm one of those liberals who is for tort reform.
Unfortunately, most of the people who are pushing for tort reforms are
assholes and aren't interested in corporate responsibility either.
It's kind of a chicken and egg scenario. I want to improve both
personal and corporate responsibility and most people seem to tackle
one side or the other. Right now I think that corporations get away
with murder and we need to stop that. I also think that we have a
society that blames, well, society for all sorts of things and that
personal injury lawsuits are a symptom of that and need to get reigned
in as well. I'm not sure how or if we'll be able to tackle both at
once but I think that will be the key to real reform.
