It's a Vietnam-era concept that is really a Johnson vs Regan thing rather than the rudderless philosophical flailing that characterized the Bush administration: the substitution of strength-of-will over intellectual reasoning, the idea that there are 2 "sides" to EVERY issue, the Lord of the Flies narratives to justify any and everything. History will show Bush to have been the death throes of 20th century conservatism just as Carter was the death of 20th century liberalism. Obama, if he continues as has for the last 100 days, will be the birth of a new 21st century pragmatism; neither conservative, liberal, or centrist, but a philosophy that collects, defines, and utilizes an independent factbase for each decision. Where that will leave your 20th century concepts I don't know, but I do know they're dead and either people will realize that and move on today or they'll dwindle to muttering recliner-bound noise holes mocked by the next generation for the relics they've become. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
