One of the things that makes me feel so lucky that our sons go to a great public school. My oldest is just a couple weeks away from finishing 6th grade. We won't get our 'star' test scores for this year until the middle of summer, but as I recall, from his 5th grade scores he is reading at just under a 12th grade level, he tests in the 99th percentile for reading, science and math. We feel pretty lucky that he got into a great middle school, Creative Arts Connection. He had to complete an application that would provide a good example for a college admission complete with two essays and an audition.
