A couple of weeks ago we had a 100 lb claymore go off. By some miracle, guys who were no more than 10 feet away from it survived with nothing more than a concussion. When we asked some Iraqi Police who were obviously using their cell phones on a rooftop the moment of the explosion, all they could say is they did not hear anything (they were no more than 75 meters away from the blast) and that they were asleep, even though our guys on the ground had eyes on them seeing that they were awake. When we took their cell phone away from the guy who was busy erasing the numbers he called, we were told to give it back to him because we are not allowed to harass the police here. Fuck them. They know exactly what is going on. They were probably the trigger man for all we know. This is what happens when you have reporters who get to follow us around and then politicians who decry our tactics and tell us we have to play nice. Tell you what, let these bastards don some body armor and walk around here getting blown up and shot at and then tell them they cannot do anything because we have to play nice with these animals. I think that they might have a change of heart. And yes, go ahead and whine to your congressman about me. See if I care? Nothing will come of it. They will not kick me out. Worst case scenario is I get to talk to the head shrinker's here and get some feel good pills to make me not feel so angry, then send me back into the war. Either way I do not care, I still get paid the same and I still get to go home in two months to get married and live a happy peaceful life with my new wife.
