We got an automated call the other day from my daughters Yeshiva telling us that if we have boys in certain Yeshivas then we should not send her to school. Basically, 3 Yeshivas have closed due to swine flu and there's a concern from the others. Because Yeshivas are single gender, a girl will be at one and a boy at another. Another girl may have a brother at a different one than the first. If one Yeshiva gets the flu, the chance of it traveling to another is high. There are times when having a close nit community can be a problem.
