That is a good price. Generally, you can get a great day about a week before the flight. This is when airlines try to fill empty seats on plane. On AA, I get a Net Saver Fare email on Tuesdays for flights next week with deals. Problem is you have a week to make arrangements and you have no idea what flights will be available.
Personally, if you see a good deal.. book it right then and there. Wait one hour and that fare is gone! -----Original Message----- From: Bruce Sorge [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, May 26, 2009 12:16 AM To: cf-community Subject: Question for frequent travelers I have a question for you frequent travelers, especially those who travel internationally. When is the best time for someone to purchase international flights. I am planning another trip to the Philippines in September or October. My last trip was purchased about a week in advance and I got a pretty good deal from LAX to MNL for $702 round trip. Not sure if it was a fluke or what. And even still not sure if that was the best deal. Any advice is appreciated. I am checking prices now and I am finding deals as low as $718 per person from Denver to Manila.
