huh, well, when you are handing the president a letter urging him to
take/not take a certain course of action, you aren't really acting as
the press any more, are you? A) you have to get close enough to do
that and B) you aren't reporting the news, you are making it.
Nonetheless, the incident feels way too heavy handed. The police may
not work for the White House, but I strongly suspect they are guided
by the Secret Service when it comes to matters of the president's
security.
