Like I said, I should have use Satanists just to avoid this type of conversation. Or any group that would be stereotypically hated by the Middle Eastern Muslim world, as long as it wasn't my group. sigh
As for Muslim/Jewish relations, they are relatively good outside of the Middle East and/or where there are Middle Eastern populations. It's a common occurrence in that area of the world to demonize Jews in the worst way possible. Just to say you know a Jew could get you banned from working in your field of choice (I am not making this up).
