Two weekends ago on a whim I read Shutter Island by Dennis Lahane as I'd read his A Drink Before The War about 2 months ago and really liked it. Shutter Island was awesome and while I had guessed PART of it's secret about 25% in, the outcome took a direction I never guessed until about 90% through. Just an awesome summer read. Anyway, total coincidence, but I was just reading The Daily Beast and I saw it's going to be a Scorsese/DiCaprio movie! I HIGHLY recommend reading the book and maybe the movie will fulfill the promise of the book.
