I am kind of torn on this one. On the one hand, she did enter the 
country illegally, and if I am reading it right, she even knew it was 
illegal but made the conscious decision to continue with the ruse due to 
financial reasons.
I do think though that under the circumstances, being that her husband 
is both a US citizen now, and the fact that he is serving his country, 
they should offer some leniency. Of course the problem with this is that 
it could open the floodgates to a whole new way for foreigners to enter 
the country illegally and attain citizenship, or at least legal 
residency. Tough one.

As an aside, I do like the fact that if you enter the country illegally, 
and join the armed forces, you can get citizenship. I figure if you want 
to be an American, and you enter the country illegally, at least do 
something to earn the right to stay here, and performing some sort of 
national service such as serving in the military helps you earn that right.
