My aunt had breast cancer about ten years ago. She worked at a small company - about 22 people - and was told, unofficially, they all had to pay for her treatment. This meant they had to close or fire her. She found another job at a 500 employee plus company and they covered everything. She's still working there and the cancer hasn't returned.
