I found it extremely hard to keep up with the two lists - cftalk was a huge distraction for me during the day, since I have ADD and cannot let messages just sit in my inbox unread. :)
Also, our company has added php as a development language, and while we are never going to give up CF, it has taken a back burner to php for the moment. At least until we are done converting all of our sites to a WordPress-based CMS system, then we will circle back around and use CF to rework some of our more data-centric sites to use the latest and greatest CF has to offer for display of said data. And lastly, I am willing to bet a lot of us that have been here for a while have moved into a more senior/lead/mgmt role over the course of our careers, which drains the time we used to be able to use for monitoring and contributing to the more technical lists.
