But that's whole entire point, Dana: normally products and services
are priced on value, not on cost of production.

However.

Lawyers charge on the billable hour, i.e., the cost of production.

Doctors SORT OF do as well.

But look, anyone that knows the healthcare supply & value chains know
it's the most inefficient thing imaginable - no it's worse - you
imagine how bad it could be and it's worse.

Why?

Medical services aren't priced on value, thus the patient pays for the
inefficiency, thus the lack of incentive to be more efficient, thus
the current system.

In other words, government run healthcare will never work long term
because creeping inefficiency will kill it.

Look at France and the UK - they're coming to us to try to lower their costs.

The only force in the World that can fix this problem is compound
interest, which means private investment, which means the government
needs to get out.
