You would be referring to "The Cadillac Ranch".  Yes, I've seen it... yes it
does exist and yes, the residents of Amarillo still think he was a nut.

I was born in Amarillo and my grandmother still lives there!  It was so
funny because when my wife and I drove from my mom's house in Durant, Ok. to
my grandmother's house, my wife actually got to see a tumbleweed.  She was
tickled pink!

P.S. my in-laws are from that area <grin> - my father-in-law spends 7 mos.
out of the year in Miami, TX (70 miles out of Amarillo), 5 months in the SF
area. Been there, heard jokes like, about storms "there aint nuthin between
us and the North Pole but barb wire fences, and them all blew down".
