Seriously Adobe wtf is wrong with you anymore? Your product updates are a shameful train-wreck in motion and then defeat and the constantly interfering popups are pathetic! And how many times does an app need to connect with your servers every time they launch? (flash requested 17 connections upon launch!)
When Snow Leopard came out I did a clean install which means the usual adobe install marathon.. Every mac app on earth installs with the greatest of ease but not adobes, god forbid it took an hr and a half to install cs3 web premium.. wtf!! And then as usual acrobat doesn't install right so you gotta do it several times. I just don't install it anymore not just because of the installs but just general usage.. If I'm not required to use it then I don't want to use it I want to use something that starts up fast and works right and acrobat isn't it. Anyways, I have cs3 and cs4 I only upgraded ps so when you install it you can't just put in your lic code you have to call in and go through the gauntlet to get it registered. I gave up on m$ and one reason why is how they treat you or assume you are using an illegal copy until you prove to them otherwise and Adobe is now doing this as well. So not only do you get to sit on hold for several hours waiting to activate but then you get treated like a criminal until you prove you bought the software and thatâs bullshit! Yeah I am pirating the software and going to hold for hours to call and active it!!! morons!! I really love it when they question the authenticity of it, last time the adobe agent said I obviously bought it black market and it was an illegal copy, ummm ok but I bought it straight from Adobe.... But at the time I was just thankful I got an agent who could speak and understand english which is rare at adobe anymore. There is a halo affect here but much different then Apples, this one is driving people away. If I need Adobe software in the future I might as well just get a pirated copy since all these anti-piracy measures do is punish the legit buyers while installing a pirated copy is obviously a piece of cake. At first I felt bad about using Railo, like I was cheating or something but thank god I did or else I would seriously think about moving to ruby.
