I had my own horrible experience with purchasing a laptop to play games. Once the laptop has a discrete graphics card, battery life suffers terribly.
Also, laptop graphics are not upgradeable. So after two years or less they start to fall behind the curve. I learnt the hard way that 'gaming' laptops are a way to suck money from people, and it is always better to have a simple laptop for work or travel, and a desktop for gaming. I guess sometimes it is absolutely not possible to have a desktop, but I think such circumstances are actually quite rare. 2009/9/12 Larry C.
