First, we're talking about 2004. Second, I don't think we can ever win in Afghanistan, the most we could hope for is to keep the Taliban at bay. I'm not sure going all in back in 2003 would have changed that outcome.
Obama has spent more than all presidents combined in his first six months and we have nothing to show for it. Yeah you can blame Bush for $750 B but Obama spent the other ten or twelve trillion on his own. Extreme rendition was started by Clinton and uesed by Bush and Obama. Why do you only dislike Bush for using it? Prisoner abuse was a handful of rogue soldiers, you think those individuals would have acted differently if Bush wasn't president? Haliburton would still have won the contracts just like when Bill was pres. Irans power has doubled if not tripled in the last eight months. Can say about the soldiers, we don't know if the fight would have came to us if we didn't bring it to them. No crystal ball. Are you saying Kerry, Edwards, Obama and Hillary Clinton would all have been a better choice? On Mon, Sep 14, 2009 at 9:54 AM, Larry C.
