Have you ever had so many problems with a project you want to GIVE UP maybe even change jobs to get away from the project?
Our project... Sun Unix Box connecting to a NT MS SQL Server but has to connect to get some live information from a AS400 Files system which is the enterprise system. Products: ColdFusion 4.5 Apache AS400 RPG 4.5 Bought Driver DB2Connect since it being a IBM product connecting to a IBM product that AS400 should work. Other then we could not back then find any other driver available anyway. Driver works only partially... You can not get catagories back... so NO Store Procedure that produces Result SETS works on RPG 4.5. The amount of time to find out this fact is very painful. Now I have a stored procedure that has been working fine... getting payment types... yesterday it started dropping off the first payment type on each refresh until it got to the last one which it kept. after a min or two when I hit refresh it shows me some werid number. On the AS400 side it says the Stored Procedure is FINE. Today when I get here working on the page I notice now it is not giving me payment types but Catagorie types with the Weird Number in front of it. On the AS400 side it says the Stored Procedure is FINE. (They Say) Arrrrrrghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! We are looking at testing some new drivers we heard came out 4 weeks ago or so.
