Which Conference? The one I can think of based on your description was in Chicago where they took a bunch of photos over time of "The Bean" and removed all the change data to reveal a photo of the bean with all the people taken out of the photo. I thought that was a new feature in one of Adobe's products, maybe Photoshop or Fireworks or some other program I don't use much.
