ok i was getting ticked off.. things where way slow. the only things i did from this link http://www.divergentstudio.com/georgeswonderblog/2008/0529/technology/computers-and-computer-related/email/gmail-slow-for-you-try-these-tips/
1. Log into Gmail, click *Settings* and on the *General* tab you will see a dropdown where you can set the number of email conversations per page, set it to its lowest setting of 25 conversations per page. Dont forget to save changes. 2. (read first<https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=18219>) While you are ion Gmails settings click on the *Web Clips* tab and uncheck the Show my web clips above the Inbox checkbox. Dont forget to save changes. (this was already off...) 3. skip 4. (read first<https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=33513>) Disable chat, scroll down to the bottom and click turn off chat in the second line from the bottom 5. skip 6. skip 7. skip 8. (read first<https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=38354>) (also read first<https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&ctx=mail&answer=35530>) Try turning off your contacts pictures. Click *Settings* and on the * General* tab to the right of Contacts Pictures Only show pictures that Ive chosen for my contacts. If you havent chosen any pictures then you shouldnt see any. 9. Turn off snippets. Click *Settings* and on the *General* tab to the right of Snipetts click No snippets Show subject only.
