Some researchers have come up with a way of using variances between wireless nodes to detect movement. Someone may think that this is a major privacy issue as someone can see if your home or where you are. In truth it would only be an issue if someone hacked a number of wireless nodes at the same time to get the data. Can you see a dozen wireless nodes in the right locations, all open to the public? I'd go with the mention of radio sensors, where you basically deploy your own nodes. Hm, I wonder if there is a product the size of a credit card that has its own wireless node and internal power source. (A mifi is about $150)
