Nope, I didn't know. Mostly because once I heard that the kid was actually safe and that this is likely to be a hoax, I have lost a good deal of interest. I leave it to the usually capable hands of local authorities if it turns out to be a hoax. I just hope whatever publicity this guy|family was looking for results in some real money, because if they get billed for National Guard helicopters they are going to find out just how expensive it is to run a modern military.
