So...

After being out for most of the day, I return home to find my super
Dell 710H2C computer stuck on a screen which says File error.
I reboot, and after 5 minutes I'm greeted with a BSOD labelled Memory
Management.

i run Windows 7RC Memory Management tool and find it says that there
is a Hardware error.

I'm now running memtest x86 to further test the memory.

But it seems that...just like that out of the blue..my computer RAM
modules have failed.
They are two 2GB Dual Channel Ram modules, I think PC2 4200. The
machine had a total of 4GB. (Future proofing).
I cannot understand it..the machine is just about 2 years old..if so
much. When I purchase a machine..I intend for it to last me 4 to 6
years before I think about upgrading.

It's really unbelievable that this happens.

My advice to new PC buyers now is to NEVER purchase any of these
'enthusiast' machines. They do not function any better, or have any
more reliability than other machines.

The Alienware ALXs, the HP Blackbirds, Dell XPSs...they are all a
massive waste of money and time.

All you need is a decent processor and graphics card, and adequate
cooling. And apparently several machines offer this,.including non
'enthusiast' systems from Dell, HP and others. From relatively cheap
iBuyPower machines to off the shelf USD650.00 systems.

memtest still has not finished running, but when it does I'll post
what the outcome is.

Depression..let us sit and chat over a bottle of 1919 and some coconut water.
Oh...oh wait...there is no coconut water.
*dies*
