Heh .. not very long ago at the same company I talk about below, I had (my
manager) a guy who claimed to have been working with CF for 3 years ask me
if there was a way to figure out how many items were in a list .. I kid you
not.

I would say the certification is worth it. It got me in the door to get my
last job. By chances of fate, I was talking to the president of the company
that I was getting my MCSE training from and he asked me what I did. I told
him. He asked me if I was any good. Not wanting to go in to a list of
details that would bore him, I said "I'm certified in CF 5.0 and ...". He
interrupted me and said, "Never mind.". Then he told my instructor to make
sure I was introduced to the head of IT to see if I could be hired.

So .. I got to meet the head of IT the next day, better explained my
qualifications, and was hired 2 days later.

Does it garuntee me $80k per year? No. Does it garuntee a job? No. Can
it help me get one? Yes. Did it help me get one? Yes. So, is it worth
it? Yes.
