Anyone been watching this? You know I've really been enjoying it until last night's episode.
Ok so they have a notional private military company named Jericho (the equivalent of a Blackwater, triple canopy). So this chick is on a "long range surveillance" ALONE. She sees these contractors kill an entire village of Afghanis. Arrrggghhhhhh LRS is an infantry or SF job. There are no I repeat NO U.S. military females that are permitted to do this duty. It's a male only career field. Another part of the story has a hadji vehicle run her traffic control point. This TCP is being run by 2 soldiers and they take off after the vehicle and get ambushed. Do these people not use military advisors? It would be very very rare for 2 soldiers to be outside the wire by themselves. Also the vehicle wouldn't have gotten past the TCP. Wouldn't have even gotten close. They would have been lit up with a Mk 19 and or a .50 machine gun. Additionally why do they go after the big bad evil PMC? PMCs are not permitted to conduct offensive operations. They are authorized only for defensive measures. Additionally the majority of them are not even hired on the DoD side, they are mainly contracting for DoS, USAID, and other agencies. They provide security in high risk situations. Have there been shit bags that fired up civilians and did other negative things, yes of course, the 10% rule (10% of everyone, SF, rangers, delta, cops, whoever, are dirt bags) however the vast majority of security contractors are patriotic Americans, veterans, that are simply providing a needed service cheaper and more efficiently than can be provided within the current military force structure. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
