Saw the commercial on hulu. Great idea... hope it works out well, some
computer classes in the curriculum wouldn't be so bad.

OH! And you could have a huge screaming button or something like...

Hey Parents. Click here!
Since we are talking about information on a k-8 students.

OK so

I still think it's a interesting concept. Just concerns over how much
information is shared over the internet "before you have a say in the
matter".

Can some of you click around in there. I don't have kids but also don't know
when kids start collecting online accounts, but it seems far fetched they
can pull this off right now. Wouldn't you need thousands of people willing
to tutor people?

IT IS EASY to broadcast webcams that is, so don't let me hold you back
researching that more.

Anyway... Check It.

MISSION: To provide free online tutoring and academic resources to
underserved communities.

The Learn To Be Foundation is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization
that operates solely on donations from individuals, businesses, and
foundations. It was organized exclusively for educational purposes on the
principle of using the World Wide Web as a medium for people of all ages to
grasp their educational potential. The Foundation’s hope is to foster and
cultivate free online tutoring services that are driven by a community of
users dedicated to teaching and mentoring those in need.

The backbone of the Foundation’s website includes tutoring sessions that
occur online with the tutor and the student communicating via audio and a
virtual whiteboard to create a seamless transition from one-on-one in-person
tutoring to one-on-one online tutoring.

Learn To Be works with schools and organizations to provide tutoring to
students in Grades K-8 in the following subjects:

   - Math
   - Science
   - Language Arts
