I would totally agree with you, but the salient point is that the Earth is factually warming up. The open questions are 2-fold: (1.) Is this warm-up 'common cause' or 'special cause'? In other words, are we at the bottom of a J-curve or top of a cycle? And the answer is the same as the God thread: there's no way to know. (2.) What's causing it? Same answer as #1. In other words, when it comes to global warming there's sufficient indication of a risk.
