yes and no.

The monopoly thing is absolutely right - it must go.

But so must the tie to employers.

and healthcare costs are NOT controlled by insurance companies; they
controlled by doctors and the market.

The reason health insurance IS credit is because that's what insurance
- any insurance - is really: you pay a monthly fee (like you would a
credit card bill) and then if you need a big purchase that you
wouldn't have the liquidity for, the insurance pays it.

It's credit with no "balance due" portion.

Now, think of what would happen to the price of big screen TVs if the
majority of your credit card bill was paid by your employer to point
where you had no idea how much they cost?

And then think if you also had no idea what you're going to get when
you buy: might get a 1080, might get a 720, might get a CRT. Some
people would be smart enough to ask, most wouldn't. But the price
would always be the same: high.

So you're wrong about "variables".

Humans need routine and non-routine service that requires people,
process, parts, and technology. So do airplanes.

Humans need diagnostics and troubleshooting. So do airplanes.

There is no difference between those industries. It's kinda scary.

The solution is so simple it should slap you in the face: get the
government out of the *business* of healthcare and get them in the
business of regulation since that's their fecking job.

Would you like a 35% pay raise? Cause that's what you'd get with the
Gruss Option.
