The x-ray issue was brought up by me. You have men look at men, and
women look at women. In Iraq we did this and it worked great, and no one
complained.

Your issues about the dogs are valid ones as well. Which again proves my
point that you will never come up with a system that will appease everyone.

That being said, the dogs do not have to be right up on the explosives.
I have personally seen dogs that can sniff the outside of a house and
detect something. When we go into the house they will zero right in on
the explosives and sometimes they are not right next to an outside wall.
Dogs have very sensitive noses. I have seen my step father's labs sniff
out a bird from several feet away when I went bird hunting with them.
Germany has been using dogs in their airports since the 80's and I have
never heard anyone complain about their presence. The Polezi will just
roam the airport with their dog in hand very nonchalantly and go about
their business until the dog goes off on something. Very non invasive to me.
