GMail uses ActiveSync (the same protocol Exchange uses) and worked exactly the same way Exchange does on the iPhone. You can use the native mail, calendar, and contacts apps on the iPhone with GMail and don't have to use the web interface. You may have to tinker with your contacts after you sync it the first time (some may get duplicated) but once you get it all straight it's great. > What is everyone's take on Google Docs? I use Google Docs for meeting notes since you can very easily distribute a copy of the notes to everyone immediately after the meeting. I have also used it for very simple requirements documentation. Generally anything that requires alot of collaboration is good, particularly if you are collaborating with people in different cities/states/countries. Docs are definitely more dumbed down than most other word processors, but I prefer that in many ways. I can't count the number of times Word has decided to formatting something in a really terrible way and I can't get it to behave. The spreadsheets are dumbed down too, but I very rarely use the really fancy functionality of spreadsheet programs - so it actually has 100% of what I need. I use Google spreadsheets for things like company or household budgeting since you can (again) easily share this document with others who need to work on it. Docs also keep versions constantly and automatically, which is great when someone else (or me) goofs a doc up. -Cameron ... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
