I like it. Do they do any Japanese, German and English parts or just US? If they do more than US, you might want some visual elements emphasizing that as people definitely get into their particular niche with this sort of thing and they'd really dig a design that spoke directly to their interests.
Speaking of niche interests, there aren't that many planes of that particular era, what about a theme for each of the major plane models and let the user choose their favorite and save that preference?
