Sadly...with the RC you HAVE to reinstall from scratch.

I am having tons of computer problems over the last few weeks...I need
to get a small backup machine for times such as these (never happened
to me before).

But one thing I also need to do..is to reinstall the OS.
I have my Backup Vista OS, but if I want Win 7 I have to backup and
reinstall everything.

There are some Activation hacks out there, but nothing reliable. Some
of them try to fool Windows 7 into thinking that you are on a certain
brandname computer and activate Windows 7 as an OEM copy for that
brand.
Others try different tricks. But basically...you have to reinstall.

Sorry about that. My Win 7 install was supposed to be just to test out
the OS...and somehow it became my primary OS :-\
I know what you're going through.

I also saw an article for doing an in-place upgrade by altering a file
on the Windows 7 retail media. I will look for it.
But you really should reinstall.
