Usually, in order to get someone to turn that crazy you have to
brainwash them from birth that blowing themselves up and killing as
many innocent people as possible is heroic and that they will be met
by a thousand virgins - and that {Diety} likes it when you do that...
Occasionally though, someone just has a screw loose and goes crazy all
on their own.
