what's working for my wife is Beconase - an inhaler you do through the nose.
also causes fewer side effects because it's not a "systemic" drug (doesn't
go through your whole body like pills).

warning: you have to take it for 2 or 3 weeks before it seems to have an
effect, and continue taking it fairly reliably through allergy season for
it to continue to work.
