Sure, I've got a Nikon D60 for stills, a Cannon Mini-DV camcorder for decent video but I want something I can get quick that's not bulky and can record all the amazing things I'm going to love watching my son do. I don't want to have to pull out the cannon, make sure it's charged, pop in a new miniDV all the while missing something.. With a pocket cam I'll be able to take decent footage and always have the camcorder with me.. So it's more about accessibility than movie grade footage.
