I've got a similar situation in a way. Just got a new dog, he's adorable as hell, gets along with one of my cats but not the other. Isabel has been loosing weight, just out of being scared or something. She hides all day long and hasn't been the same. I've move her food etc... Casper gets along with Cracker just fine, but Isabel is a different story completely. I seriously hope changing living scenery is going to help here, or I'll have to make a decision and it's going to be Isabel finding a new home for her own well being! I know it's not putting a pet to death, but similar in a way for personal sake. We are all One Energy Death while the end of the physical, energy is never lost, it's transformed. The pain and suffering Mortimer may be going through, could be something that would be beneficial if he was given a chance to die. If it's feasible he could get better, yeah sure, is he going to still go bathroom around the house?
