Naw, they break out in naval scuffles every few years. The South Koreans,
obviously, usually bear the brunt of the attacks, since they are usually
attacked with no notice or provocation (no provocation that a sane person
who does not hear dog whistles would react to). But they hold there own once
the bullets start flying.

I will admit that if this WAS a torpedo attack, the S Koreans need some
wargame practice.
