The Chechen rebels have Islamic roots, certainly, but what about all
the other places that have broken away/tried to break away from Russia
since the collapse of the USSR? Is there something about Chechen that
makes it especially relevant to mention that it is Muslim versus, say,
South Ossetia which is Christian?
